Okay, so I wanted to start a blog because I heart, heart, heart reading. if I am not at work then I am reading and if I got paid for every book I read...well I wouldn't need my full time job that's for sure. (If only that is the way my life worked)
Usually what happens is I will read a great book and I will start trying to tell everyone around me about it. Yes, they may 'listen' to my story telling, but I know they don't care one bit.
The exception to this rule is usually my little cousin (well I say little but she is only 4 years younger than me but you get the idea) and I have had a lot of success with persuading her to read books that I have read. BUT she has been slacking on her reading, so I am stuck with all these 'thoughts' in my head and nowhere to release them on the world.
So my brilliant 'baby' sisters came up with the idea to start Blogging. This way, when I read a book that I feel is worth sharing I can get my feelings out without having to watch the people around me pretend to listen to my retelling of the book.
No one will probably read this, but at least I can get my feelings off my chest and thoughts out of my head and I can move on to another book with a clean slate.
I primarily read only romances of all sub categories so I am giving the fair warning (as if it is actually needed *eye roll*). I also read a lot of series which I have a lot on the go right now (if only the authors published as quick as I read their books I would definitely be happy--then again I’m not one to be miserable so.....).
I get a lot of my 'next book ideas' from Goodreads.com because if I love one book I can check out the similar books and if I like the synopsis than I grab the book and start reading.
I am giving fair warnings on SPOILER ALERTS because i want to have this blog to talk about my thoughts on the book not to provide a vague review. I will also probably be venting on some parts of books because i do sometimes " " have the tendency to get a little to involved " " in my books.
I hope my sisters were right and this works otherwise I might be out of a boyfriend, some family members and a few friends because I KNOW they are getting sick of my "OMG I read the best book" line.
