Just One Week (Just One Song #1) By Stacey Lynn Part 2

Saturday, November 30th-Finished

Okay, this book was way better. I still didn't get my answers from the ending of Just One Song, but I love Chase and Mia's story.

Both Chase and Mia had a messed up perception of love and my heart went out to both of them.

Mia's mother ad breast cancer and she always knew there was a strong possibility that she was going to have it in her life time. That was one of the reasons she had for keeping Chase away.

When Chase asks Mia for one week to show her how much he loves her, she thought she could do that and walk away. She never thought she would fall in love with him. Then she gets the call she has been dreading and goes home to face her worst nightmares.

Chase is at her side throughout her Cancer ordeal, well as much as he can be, before Mia pushes him away again.

Chase is about to give up on love when Mia shows up and is left to wonder if he was the only one in the love game.

I loved the ending to this and the epilogue had me tearing up.

This book definitely redeemed itself.

Nicely done!

Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Just One Week (Just One Song #1) By Stacey Lynn Part 1

Wednesday, November 28th-Started

This is Mia and Chase's story.

Mia and Chase had chemistry from the get-go, but they both wanted the no strings attached business.

Now they are reuniting for Nicole and Zack's wedding (Spoiler alert if you haven't read Just One Song lol) and things may start to change.

Hmmm, I wonder how they will change????

P.S. I hope this epilogue is killer, other wise my next blog I am ranting...nope don't you dare try to stop me, I'm going to do it if it sucks.

Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Just One Song (Just One Song #1) By Stacey Lynn Part 2

Tuesday, November 26th-Finished

Okay, so I am 50/50 with this book.

Good 50:

I loved the story line:

Nicole lost her son and husband in a car accident which was caused by a teenager texting and driving. (great message to portray in a book). It was a year and a few months after their death that she decided to start to live her life again. When she is out with her best friend Mia, she is dared to go talk to two guys at the bar. Little did she know that Zack and Jake are 'Rock-Gods'.

Zack asks Nicole to come on tour with them for a week so he can get to know her. Little did Nicole know that she was going to fall for him, for anyone so quickly.

I loved these two characters and how Zack helped Nicole overcome her grief. Even with all the drama with Zack's ex, these two were beyond cute.

Bad 50:

The timeline of this book was a little iffy as well as the spelling/grammar issues. I paid for this book and i was expecting a little better, especially for the price I paid.

The timeline in the Epilogue almost ruined the book for me. These two were go go go and then all of a sudden it was two years later. It didn't make any sense and left me like WTF!!!!

Overall I would give this book a 3.5, but if the ending had of been better it would have been 4.5 at least.

I did love the message and the true love I felt between these two, but it's key moments in the book that will make or break it and the epilogue was a key moment for me.

This book is a series, so on to book 2 Just One Week.

Until my next Blog when I have started it.

I have been debating for hours what book to read next, when I came across Just One Song.

The synopsis had me interested and the book includes 2 things I love; Rock Stars and is part of a series.

Synopsis:

Nicole had the perfect life, until it was all taken away from her when her family died in a car accident.

A year later she is tired of couting the days she has survived.

After she meets Zack Walters she is forced to confront the pain she has carried with her.

Question is, can she actually heal?

Then, Now, Forever (In A Heartbeat #2) By Teodora Kostova Part 2

Sunday November 24th-Finished

**Sigh/Swoon/Sob**

First and foremost I HEART BEPPE!!

When reading In A Heartbeat I would never have been able to guess all the background that was involved in Beppe and Gia's relationship.

This book was written in 3 parts, Then, Now, Forever and it was a necessity to make this book as intense and detailed as it was.

Then:

Beppe was 6 when he fell in love with an eight year old Gia as she was patching up his knee. From that moment on she was 'His Gia'.

Beppe didn't have a good homelife, his father would beat him up on the regular and there wasn't anything he could do about it. Whenever he needed fixing up he would go to Gia's house and she would take care of them for him.

When Gia was 16 her Dad died and Beppe was there to comfort her when she needed it most. That is where their relationship as a couple started.

"It's just us now. It's always been us. You and Me, OK?"

When Beppe was 16 his dad beat him so badly that he was put into the hospital. he almost didn't make it and needed to leave Genoa to go with his grandfather. He was an empty shell and he knew that he needed to get better, he knew Gia would be okay. It was only 10 months he would be away and he would take to Gia every day. How bad could it be?

Beppe ended up staying away for almsot 2 years. It was the best thing he could have ever done for himself...but only one problem....he lost Gia in the process and he was heart broken.

"Gia was his core, his base, his centre, His."

Now:

3 years later and Beppe never stopped loving Gia. She was the only girl that had his heart and he was the only guy that Gia let in.

Gia kept  Beppe at a friendly distance because her heart wouldn't be able to take it if he ever left again.

Gia tries to move on from Beppe, but that only leads her to more trouble.

One thing Gia is prepared for is Beppe not giving up on making her his.

Forever:

"He wanted her as his partner, his other half, his soul mate, his future."

This book had me feeling every emotion, so much was involved in this book and many times I thought I wasn't going to find the HEA. Beppa and Gia had loved each other forever, but sometimes you can't be with the one that you love. We saw that in this book many times. Just when I thought Beppe and finally succeeded, we were thrown a curveball.

Next book is Lisa and Gino's story, we were given a sneak peak at what we can expect and I am wishing for an early release, because I CANNOT WAIT. So excited.

Great Job Teodora!!!

Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book (since I can't read book 3 because I am being tortured until 2014)

In A HeartBeat (In A HeartBeat #1) By Teodora Kostova Part 2

Saturday, November 23rd-Finished

Stella was 14 when her Father, Brother and Uncle were taken away from her in a car accident. If that wasn't bad enough, her Aunt and Cousin could no longer stay in London with the memories and moved to Italy. That left her and her Mom alone to try and pick up the pieces of the life together.

Four years later Stella was diagnosed with Cancer and needed to have 2 surgeries in 10 months. Even then it wasn't guaranteed that she was cured. Stella decided she needed to get away for the summer to visit her cousin Lisa in Italy.

"Somewhere I can meet people who don't think of me as the firl who has lost her father and her brother and now has cancer. I want to have fun, even if it's just for a couple of months."

Stella meets Max on the beach on her first day in Genoa, Italy. She didn't know at the time that he was Lisa's best friend and when she did find out she was already falling for him.

Stella and Max both tried to fight the attraction they have together. Excuses were made, time was spent apart, but alas, their attraction was too strong.

"In my defence, how could I not? I've never met a man who had such an effect on me. I don't know his name, but I was ready to wrap my legs around his waist. In a heartbeat."

Over the next 6 weeks, they became inseperable, but only on the terms that end the end of their time, she would go back to London and they would move on with their lives.

Stella and Max's story was one that was that broke my heart and mended it at the same time.

Their story of true love and the powers that can entail kept me entranced throughout the whole book.

It's incredible the horrible things that Stella was put through, but still had enough love in her heart, even without her realizing it.

I shouldn't even get started on Max **pitter patter goes my heart**. The way he felt about Stella dn the passion he felt for her **sigh**.

Throughout this story we also got to know Gia and Beppe (who will be staring in book 2) and Lisa and Gino (who will be in book 3). Teodora has dont a good job in preparing us for the next books and I am beyond excited to continue the series.

Until my next Blog when I have started Then, Now, Forever.

For Real (Rules of Love #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron Part 2

Sunday, November 17th-Finished

Another one bites the dust Chelsea!!!

I was excited to read this as I am a fan of Chelsea Cameron's book, but at the same time I was just expecting it to be a light read that had a HEA.

What I wasn't expecting was to be laughing throughout the whole book because of either Shannon's inner commentary or from Jett and Shannons banter.

From the beginning it was obvious Shannon's and Jett's Fake Relationship was more real than not. They both create these "Rules" to follow to ensure that their Fake Dating is a success and their friends don't suspect otherwise.

They end up spending almost every night together, sleeping in the same bed and spooning (Rule #4: No contact unless it's incidental). They also end up kissing even when they are alone (Rule #5). Before they both realize, the lines are blurred and they can't even tell where the Fake Relationship ends and the Real Relationship begins.

I loved reading this story and going through the internal struggle and thoughts with Shannon. I would have loved Jett's POV because he seemed like he would have some interesting thoughts about his and Shannons relationship.

What I loved most about this story was how realistic it felt. From Shannon feeling pressure from her friends to find a guy to break her virignity so she would be 'normal' to the banter between Jett and herself.

Many times I was laughing so hard that I had to wipe the tears from my eyes.

These two represent any relationship that starts unconventially. It's true that something great can come from the most unexpecting circumstances.

This may be my favourite Chelsea Cameron book so far (and that's saying something, because I loved Sweet Surrending and My Favourite Mistake).

Can't wait for Rules of Love #2, maybe this will Javier and Hazel's story. As long as we hear more about Shannon and Jett, I will be happy.

Until my next Blog....

For Real (Rules of Love #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron Part 1

Sunday, November 17th-Started

Shannon is tired of her friends pushing her into having a boyfriend, well more specifically her losing her virginity. So when she meets Jett she has him pretend he is her boyfriend, to keep her friends off of her back and as long as he follows her "Fake Dating Rules" all will be well.

But when it all starts to become too real, can Shannon let go of her rules and be with Jett?

Hold Us Close (Keep Me Still #1.5) By Caisey Quinn Part 2

Saturday November 16th-Finished

I wasn't sure what I was to expect in this book, but I was thrown a few curveballs and it made that book that much more enjoyable.

Landen was shocked when Layla announced that she was pregnant. For how he grew up with his father always physically and verbally abusing him, he never wanted to be a father.

Layla always believes the best of Landen and as a result she always makes excuses for his violent outbursts on any inanimate object within his reach.

Landen needs answers to why he is the way he is so he can be better for his family, but when he goes to the last man he ever thought he would go to, the answers he receives were beyond unexpected.

Landen and Layla's journey was one that brought tears to my eyes for happy and sad moments throughout this book. These two both had hard times during their childhood and my heart broke for them. Layla's determination to never give up on their love was admirable and Landen knew what he needed to do to be a better man and he did what he could to own up to the issues he was dealing with.

I was so wrapped up in this story I forgot to hightlight some passages to quote in my blog.

Caisey Quinn, another great book, can't wait to read more from you.

Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Hold Us Close (Keep me Still #1.5) By Caisey Quinn Part 1

Started Friday, November 15th

I have been waiting for this book to come out for a while. I read and blogged about Let You Leave and Keep Me Still months ago and finally I able to finish off this series.

This book picks up a few years after Keep Me Still finished. Now Layla and Landen are in Spain with Landen playing professional soccer and Layla finishing school.

They come across a problem right away,  when Layla is able to get surgery that could potentially stop her seizures, but she finds out that she is pregnant....and she is going to keep it.

So now their life together is about to change once again.

Question is can they handle this??

Let's see what happens.

Until my next Blog when I have finished this Novella.
