Another one bites the dust Chelsea!!!
I was excited to read this as I am a fan of Chelsea Cameron's book, but at the same time I was just expecting it to be a light read that had a HEA.
What I wasn't expecting was to be laughing throughout the whole book because of either Shannon's inner commentary or from Jett and Shannons banter.
From the beginning it was obvious Shannon's and Jett's Fake Relationship was more real than not. They both create these "Rules" to follow to ensure that their Fake Dating is a success and their friends don't suspect otherwise.
They end up spending almost every night together, sleeping in the same bed and spooning (Rule #4: No contact unless it's incidental). They also end up kissing even when they are alone (Rule #5). Before they both realize, the lines are blurred and they can't even tell where the Fake Relationship ends and the Real Relationship begins.
I loved reading this story and going through the internal struggle and thoughts with Shannon. I would have loved Jett's POV because he seemed like he would have some interesting thoughts about his and Shannons relationship.
What I loved most about this story was how realistic it felt. From Shannon feeling pressure from her friends to find a guy to break her virignity so she would be 'normal' to the banter between Jett and herself.
Many times I was laughing so hard that I had to wipe the tears from my eyes.
These two represent any relationship that starts unconventially. It's true that something great can come from the most unexpecting circumstances.
This may be my favourite Chelsea Cameron book so far (and that's saying something, because I loved Sweet Surrending and My Favourite Mistake).
Can't wait for Rules of Love #2, maybe this will Javier and Hazel's story. As long as we hear more about Shannon and Jett, I will be happy.
Until my next Blog....
