Rules of Entanglement (Fighting for Love #2) By Gina L Maxwell Part 2

Sunday, September 22nd-Finished

Vanessa MacGregor's Lucky 7 Rules
7. Never take responsibilities lightly.
6. Never indulge in the poison of lies.
5. Never let a fling last more than three days.
4. Never date a man who chooses fists over words.
3. Never date a man who lacks a stable future.
2. Never relinquish control.
1. Never fall in love.

Vanessa learns quickly that Jax could easily break all her rules if she allowed him to. So she thought she would take control of the situation at hand and enjoy a three day fling with Jax. Three days only of no-strings attached fun in Hawaii.

Jax wanted to break all of Vanessa 'Rules' and show her that he is what she wanted. He wasn't sure what it was about this 'Red Viper' but he knew he had never been this intrigued in a woman ever.

They confide in each other things that they never told anyone before and the feelings between them are more than just a fling.

Jax wants to have more than the three days and Vanessa starts to feel the same until life takes a left turn and trouble comes back to Vanessa and all the things she tried to get away from when she was longer seem to be in her face.

He may have started their 'situation' with a lie, but he had to show 'V' his feelings and actions were 100% truthful.

I may have cried from laughing so hard at the dialogue between Jax and Vanessa (okay, okay I did).

So many good lines, I found my self saying 'classic', 'damn straight' or 'awwww' more than once:

"Did Hawaiians have the saying "Save a surfboard, ride a surfer?""

"She mentally marked it as a win in her column. Shabba." (side note, Shabba has been my favourite line this week and when I read it in this book, I knew I had to reference it)

" I'd rather fight and lose than never step inside the cage"

"When I'm with a woman the sex is so good my neighbors need a cigarette."

"Wahine, I don't strut. I simply walk in a manly way."

Great book, I loved these two and to read about Reid and Lucie again.

I loved this story, it was exactly what I needed to read to get my spirits back up after all the heart-aching stories I have read lately. Awesome Job Gina!!!!!

Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.
