Okay, this book was way better. I still didn't get my answers from the ending of Just One Song, but I love Chase and Mia's story.
Both Chase and Mia had a messed up perception of love and my heart went out to both of them.
Mia's mother ad breast cancer and she always knew there was a strong possibility that she was going to have it in her life time. That was one of the reasons she had for keeping Chase away.
When Chase asks Mia for one week to show her how much he loves her, she thought she could do that and walk away. She never thought she would fall in love with him. Then she gets the call she has been dreading and goes home to face her worst nightmares.
Chase is at her side throughout her Cancer ordeal, well as much as he can be, before Mia pushes him away again.
Chase is about to give up on love when Mia shows up and is left to wonder if he was the only one in the love game.
I loved the ending to this and the epilogue had me tearing up.
This book definitely redeemed itself.
Nicely done!
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Just One Week (Just One Song #1) By Stacey Lynn Part 1
Wednesday, November 28th-Started
This is Mia and Chase's story.
Mia and Chase had chemistry from the get-go, but they both wanted the no strings attached business.
Now they are reuniting for Nicole and Zack's wedding (Spoiler alert if you haven't read Just One Song lol) and things may start to change.
Hmmm, I wonder how they will change????
P.S. I hope this epilogue is killer, other wise my next blog I am ranting...nope don't you dare try to stop me, I'm going to do it if it sucks.
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Just One Song (Just One Song #1) By Stacey Lynn Part 2
Tuesday, November 26th-Finished
Okay, so I am 50/50 with this book.
Good 50:
I loved the story line:
Nicole lost her son and husband in a car accident which was caused by a teenager texting and driving. (great message to portray in a book). It was a year and a few months after their death that she decided to start to live her life again. When she is out with her best friend Mia, she is dared to go talk to two guys at the bar. Little did she know that Zack and Jake are 'Rock-Gods'.
Zack asks Nicole to come on tour with them for a week so he can get to know her. Little did Nicole know that she was going to fall for him, for anyone so quickly.
I loved these two characters and how Zack helped Nicole overcome her grief. Even with all the drama with Zack's ex, these two were beyond cute.
Bad 50:
The timeline of this book was a little iffy as well as the spelling/grammar issues. I paid for this book and i was expecting a little better, especially for the price I paid.
The timeline in the Epilogue almost ruined the book for me. These two were go go go and then all of a sudden it was two years later. It didn't make any sense and left me like WTF!!!!
Overall I would give this book a 3.5, but if the ending had of been better it would have been 4.5 at least.
I did love the message and the true love I felt between these two, but it's key moments in the book that will make or break it and the epilogue was a key moment for me.
This book is a series, so on to book 2 Just One Week.
Until my next Blog when I have started it.

Just One Song (Just One Song #1) By Stacey Lynn Part 1
Sunday, November 24th-Started
I have been debating for hours what book to read next, when I came across Just One Song.
The synopsis had me interested and the book includes 2 things I love; Rock Stars and is part of a series.
Synopsis:
Nicole had the perfect life, until it was all taken away from her when her family died in a car accident.
A year later she is tired of couting the days she has survived.
After she meets Zack Walters she is forced to confront the pain she has carried with her.
Question is, can she actually heal?
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Then, Now, Forever (In A Heartbeat #2) By Teodora Kostova Part 2
Sunday November 24th-Finished
**Sigh/Swoon/Sob**
First and foremost I HEART BEPPE!!
When reading In A Heartbeat I would never have been able to guess all the background that was involved in Beppe and Gia's relationship.
This book was written in 3 parts, Then, Now, Forever and it was a necessity to make this book as intense and detailed as it was.
Then:
Beppe was 6 when he fell in love with an eight year old Gia as she was patching up his knee. From that moment on she was 'His Gia'.
Beppe didn't have a good homelife, his father would beat him up on the regular and there wasn't anything he could do about it. Whenever he needed fixing up he would go to Gia's house and she would take care of them for him.
When Gia was 16 her Dad died and Beppe was there to comfort her when she needed it most. That is where their relationship as a couple started.
"It's just us now. It's always been us. You and Me, OK?"
When Beppe was 16 his dad beat him so badly that he was put into the hospital. he almost didn't make it and needed to leave Genoa to go with his grandfather. He was an empty shell and he knew that he needed to get better, he knew Gia would be okay. It was only 10 months he would be away and he would take to Gia every day. How bad could it be?
Beppe ended up staying away for almsot 2 years. It was the best thing he could have ever done for himself...but only one problem....he lost Gia in the process and he was heart broken.
"Gia was his core, his base, his centre, His."
Now:
3 years later and Beppe never stopped loving Gia. She was the only girl that had his heart and he was the only guy that Gia let in.
Gia kept Beppe at a friendly distance because her heart wouldn't be able to take it if he ever left again.
Gia tries to move on from Beppe, but that only leads her to more trouble.
One thing Gia is prepared for is Beppe not giving up on making her his.
Forever:
"He wanted her as his partner, his other half, his soul mate, his future."
This book had me feeling every emotion, so much was involved in this book and many times I thought I wasn't going to find the HEA. Beppa and Gia had loved each other forever, but sometimes you can't be with the one that you love. We saw that in this book many times. Just when I thought Beppe and finally succeeded, we were thrown a curveball.
Next book is Lisa and Gino's story, we were given a sneak peak at what we can expect and I am wishing for an early release, because I CANNOT WAIT. So excited.
Great Job Teodora!!!
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book (since I can't read book 3 because I am being tortured until 2014)

In A HeartBeat (In A HeartBeat #1) By Teodora Kostova Part 2
Saturday, November 23rd-Finished
Stella was 14 when her Father, Brother and Uncle were taken away from her in a car accident. If that wasn't bad enough, her Aunt and Cousin could no longer stay in London with the memories and moved to Italy. That left her and her Mom alone to try and pick up the pieces of the life together.
Four years later Stella was diagnosed with Cancer and needed to have 2 surgeries in 10 months. Even then it wasn't guaranteed that she was cured. Stella decided she needed to get away for the summer to visit her cousin Lisa in Italy.
"Somewhere I can meet people who don't think of me as the firl who has lost her father and her brother and now has cancer. I want to have fun, even if it's just for a couple of months."
Stella meets Max on the beach on her first day in Genoa, Italy. She didn't know at the time that he was Lisa's best friend and when she did find out she was already falling for him.
Stella and Max both tried to fight the attraction they have together. Excuses were made, time was spent apart, but alas, their attraction was too strong.
"In my defence, how could I not? I've never met a man who had such an effect on me. I don't know his name, but I was ready to wrap my legs around his waist. In a heartbeat."
Over the next 6 weeks, they became inseperable, but only on the terms that end the end of their time, she would go back to London and they would move on with their lives.
Stella and Max's story was one that was that broke my heart and mended it at the same time.
Their story of true love and the powers that can entail kept me entranced throughout the whole book.
It's incredible the horrible things that Stella was put through, but still had enough love in her heart, even without her realizing it.
I shouldn't even get started on Max **pitter patter goes my heart**. The way he felt about Stella dn the passion he felt for her **sigh**.
Throughout this story we also got to know Gia and Beppe (who will be staring in book 2) and Lisa and Gino (who will be in book 3). Teodora has dont a good job in preparing us for the next books and I am beyond excited to continue the series.
Until my next Blog when I have started Then, Now, Forever.

For Real (Rules of Love #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron Part 2
Sunday, November 17th-Finished
Another one bites the dust Chelsea!!!
I was excited to read this as I am a fan of Chelsea Cameron's book, but at the same time I was just expecting it to be a light read that had a HEA.
What I wasn't expecting was to be laughing throughout the whole book because of either Shannon's inner commentary or from Jett and Shannons banter.
From the beginning it was obvious Shannon's and Jett's Fake Relationship was more real than not. They both create these "Rules" to follow to ensure that their Fake Dating is a success and their friends don't suspect otherwise.
They end up spending almost every night together, sleeping in the same bed and spooning (Rule #4: No contact unless it's incidental). They also end up kissing even when they are alone (Rule #5). Before they both realize, the lines are blurred and they can't even tell where the Fake Relationship ends and the Real Relationship begins.
I loved reading this story and going through the internal struggle and thoughts with Shannon. I would have loved Jett's POV because he seemed like he would have some interesting thoughts about his and Shannons relationship.
What I loved most about this story was how realistic it felt. From Shannon feeling pressure from her friends to find a guy to break her virignity so she would be 'normal' to the banter between Jett and herself.
Many times I was laughing so hard that I had to wipe the tears from my eyes.
These two represent any relationship that starts unconventially. It's true that something great can come from the most unexpecting circumstances.
This may be my favourite Chelsea Cameron book so far (and that's saying something, because I loved Sweet Surrending and My Favourite Mistake).
Can't wait for Rules of Love #2, maybe this will Javier and Hazel's story. As long as we hear more about Shannon and Jett, I will be happy.

For Real (Rules of Love #1) by Chelsea M. Cameron Part 1
Sunday, November 17th-Started
Shannon is tired of her friends pushing her into having a boyfriend, well more specifically her losing her virginity. So when she meets Jett she has him pretend he is her boyfriend, to keep her friends off of her back and as long as he follows her "Fake Dating Rules" all will be well.
But when it all starts to become too real, can Shannon let go of her rules and be with Jett?

Hold Us Close (Keep Me Still #1.5) By Caisey Quinn Part 2
Saturday November 16th-Finished
I wasn't sure what I was to expect in this book, but I was thrown a few curveballs and it made that book that much more enjoyable.
Landen was shocked when Layla announced that she was pregnant. For how he grew up with his father always physically and verbally abusing him, he never wanted to be a father.
Layla always believes the best of Landen and as a result she always makes excuses for his violent outbursts on any inanimate object within his reach.
Landen needs answers to why he is the way he is so he can be better for his family, but when he goes to the last man he ever thought he would go to, the answers he receives were beyond unexpected.
Landen and Layla's journey was one that brought tears to my eyes for happy and sad moments throughout this book. These two both had hard times during their childhood and my heart broke for them. Layla's determination to never give up on their love was admirable and Landen knew what he needed to do to be a better man and he did what he could to own up to the issues he was dealing with.
I was so wrapped up in this story I forgot to hightlight some passages to quote in my blog.
Caisey Quinn, another great book, can't wait to read more from you.

Hold Us Close (Keep me Still #1.5) By Caisey Quinn Part 1
Started Friday, November 15th
I have been waiting for this book to come out for a while. I read and blogged about Let You Leave and Keep Me Still months ago and finally I able to finish off this series.
This book picks up a few years after Keep Me Still finished. Now Layla and Landen are in Spain with Landen playing professional soccer and Layla finishing school.
They come across a problem right away, when Layla is able to get surgery that could potentially stop her seizures, but she finds out that she is pregnant....and she is going to keep it.
So now their life together is about to change once again.
Question is can they handle this??
Let's see what happens.
Until my next Blog when I have finished this Novella.

SWEET (True Believers #2) By Erin McCarthy Part 1
Sunday, October 20th-Finished
**Awww**
**Laugh**
**Swoon**
**Tear**
Those were pretty much the emotions that I felt over and over again throughout reading SWEET.
From the very beginning I knew I was going to love Riley and Jessica more than I loved Tyler and Rory (and that is saying something because I added Tyler to my book boyfriend list).
These two had me from the moment Jessica got off the bus and stepped into Riley's grimey neighbourhood;
"Why the hell were you riding the bus?" Riley glanced over at me and he was shaking his head in disbelief, amused. "Do you know who rides the bus?"
"Teenage boys and old men who smell like pee?"
"Exactly." He gave me a small laugh. "Welcome to paradise, Jessica."
Jessica puts her Interior Designing skills to good use and helps clean up the house after Riley receives a letter from the Social Worker regarding an upcoming visit regarding the custody of Easton.
Jessica starts to feel like she can be herself at Riley's, more so than she ever could at her own home.
Jessica and Riley decide to start dating to get to know eachother on another level after a lot of back and forths and misunderstandings between the two of them.
Riley wants Jessica to know that she is someone important to him, before they take their relationship to the next level.
"Luckiest. Guy. Ever." he said, then cocked his finger. "Write that down."
All along the way the two of them had me laughing and their easy going companionship. They may have come from two different worlds growing up, but it wasn't opposites attract for them because inside they had the same personality and complimented eachother.
'I guess we're both fucked, huh?"
"Looks that way."
"Then I guess it's a damn thing we found each other."
Jessica was still fighting the battle between being who she was and being who her parents wanted her to be. When her lies of where she has spent her summer are exposed to her parents she is forced to face them. She will finally have to decide if she is going to lead her own life, or follow her parents rules.
" My last name shouldn't be Sweet. It should be Sour. Jessica Sour. That was me. A bit tart, mouth puckering, acidic mess."
I loved the way Jessica found her place within Riley's family. I wasn't sure how her relationship with Riley's brothers was going to play out since in TRUE Rory became a part of their family (TRUER), but Jayden took a real liking to Jessica more so than Easton in the beginning.
"I rubbed it into his skin and Jayden made sounds of enjoyment. Riley grinned. "You should see his face right now, Jess. I think he's working up a chub."
"Don't be disgusting." I told him primly. 'You're going to embarrass Jayden."
"No, it's actually true." Jayden said, glancing at me over his shoulder.
Jayden's one liners were hilarious in TRUE, but even better in SWEET. (Tears and Abs, Tears than Abs lol)
I loved that Jessica and Riley could joke around together, be sarcastic and not be so serious when together.
"I wish I had been more prepared. I could have really done something romantic here."
"What, like serenade me with Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend'?"
"Hell, no."
"Take me to the bow of a cruise ship and tell me I'm flying, like in Titanic?"
"Uh, no."
"Salsa dance with me to perfectly choreographed moves we magically know while a band suddenly appears behind us?"
Yet the sweetest words could be spoken between the two of them.
"I want you to know that what I believe in is us. You and me."
There is so much I can write about these two, but I don't want to spoil too much. So much happened between these two, good, bad, funny, sad. **sigh**
Great story Erin (and great name for your leading lady **winky face**)...I am going into book 3 with mixed feelings, but luckily I have until January to get myself prepared.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Those were pretty much the emotions that I felt over and over again throughout reading SWEET.
From the very beginning I knew I was going to love Riley and Jessica more than I loved Tyler and Rory (and that is saying something because I added Tyler to my book boyfriend list).
These two had me from the moment Jessica got off the bus and stepped into Riley's grimey neighbourhood;

SWEET (True Believers #2) By Erin McCarthy Part 1
Sunday, October 20th-Started
We met Jessica and Riley in TRUE (True Believers #1) which was my first Blog post. Finally book two has come out (I know I have been waiting long enough, geez, they knew I was waiting and waiting and they didn't even push up the date for me.. so selfish). This book is about Jessica who is Rory's best friend and Riley who is Tyler's older brother.
Jessica went away to college to get space from her over bearing family. Her father was a Preacher and her mother was his doting wife. She always had to pretend who she was and put a smile on to impress the church community otherwise her fancy clothes were taken away or she was assigned chores.
She was tired of going home to pretend, so when she decided to stay in at school for the summer she needed a place to stay.
Tyler was taking his brothers to Rory's for a week, so he offered up his house to stay.
One problem.
Riley was going to be there.
Riley and his sexy bad ass self, working hard to keep the roof over his brothers head all while fighting for custody over his youngest brother.
Jessica starts feeling for Riley beyond a friendship, but there is so much that is standing in their way and she fears she will be rejected.
This is Jessica and Riley's story and I for one am EXC--I--TED (**Please read in Oprah's excited voice please)!!!
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Black Heart (A Cursed Heart #1) By R.L Mathewson
Sunday, October 13th-Started
Monday, October 14th-Finished
Any book of R.L’s that I have read I have loved and re-read.
This will not be any exception, when book 2 comes out I will be re-reading this and then continuing on.
I wasn’t sure how the book was going to play out and the synopsis does not prepare you for all that came my way while reading.
Tristan always loved Marty and felt that she belonged to him, but because of his ‘issue’ he stayed away for years, in hope of getting over her. His best friend was an Irish guardian named Shayne, he helped to keep the spirits from harassing Tristan so he could live a semi normal life. Before Shayne, the spirits would keep him up, attack him and make his life miserable.
When he was forced to work together with Marty, her as his assistant, he couldn’t resist the connection he felt to her anymore. He was willing to accept all the risks and precautions necessary so that he could keep his secret safe, but still have the girl that he loved in his life.
The story was told from many different POV’s so you had to pay attention to who was speaking, but it gave a well-rounded view of everything.
So much was going on in this story that I can’t even begin to talk about without spoiling the real plot. I am sure that others have already done so, but I refuse.
I am so excited for book 2, so I can learn more of Tristan, Marty, Shayne and many more.
Best swoon worthy line in this book is when Tristan called Marty his “Mo Shonuachar” **sigh**
Great job as usual…don’t make me wait too long for Book 2.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Love Struck (Struck Series #2) By Amber Garza Part 2
Wednesday, October 9th-Finished
Okay Okay Okay, stop pushing me.....fine...I will become an Amber Garza fan....twist my arm!!!!!
As I mentioned in part 1 we saw sneak peaks into Lola and Ryker's relationship and I thought I knew what to expect. I was completely wrong.
These two had so much going on it wasn't even funny.
I thought Lola was going to have a perfect life...WRONG
I thought Ryker was going to be the struggling musician who just doesn't want to work and stay young forever...WRONG
Where do I start...
Lola wanted to get as far away from her life in California. When she first saw Ryker, he was exactly what she was looking for. She was looking for fun, easy going, not complicated. Lola needed control in her life and the more time she spent with Ryker, the more it started to slip away.
Ryker knew Lola was out of his league, he was a struggling musician and going to school full-time for business. When he saw her, he knew he had to have her. Before long, he realized that he was falling fast, but he knew he couldn't risk the fall with his secret.
"Even though I'm sure I don't stand a chance in hell with her, I know that I've got to try. There's just something about her; something different.
These two together were oddly perfect. I loved reading about these two and was routing for them to get past the two secrets that stood between them.
In the opening of the book, we are hit with a BAM IN YOUR FACE, BET YOU DIDN'T EXPECT THAT DID YOU moment. So the whole book I was waiting to find the answer as to why that happened and every page I turned I was more excited with what I learned about these two.
They both loved eachother, but Lola was afraid to let him in when she knew that her family would not approve.
"That's why I've never fallen in love. The idea of relinquishing control to another person scares the shit out of me. I never want someone to have that kind of power over me."
Ryker was afraid to admit to Lola how he felt and she not feel the same about him.
"Love is a risk, and I think that before you met me, you hadn't met anyone worth the risk.
I will just like to point out that Ryker's addiction was priceless and so sweet **sigh**:
"When we're not together she's all I think about. I count down the minutes until we are together like an addict waiting for his next fix. The only time I feel contect is when I'm with her."
I have noticed a similarity in all of Garza's books and half the fun is finding out what moral she is trying to get across.
All three books that I have read, I have had a hard time putting down and before I knew it I was clicking to the last page. These are the books I love, that at the end I am telling whoever I can to read this book.
Great Job, once again.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book. (who knows, it might be another Garza book, I seem to be on a roll.)

Love Struck (Struck Series#2) By Amber Garza Part 1
Wednesday, October 9th-Started
Lola and Ryker started dating after Ryker discovered Star at an open mic night.
When Ryker saw Lola he knew he had to do what it took to get her.
Ryker didn't look or act like any of the guys she used to date, or that her parents expected her to date, but that was half the appeal.
When someone makes a mistake, can their love last?
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Star Struck (Struck series #1) By Amber Garza
Wednesday, October 9th-Finished
When I read the synopsis of this book I thought I was going to not like Beckett and I was going to feel sorry for Star the whole book.
Well wasn't I surprised when I actually read this book and became a fan of Beckett quickly. The misunderstood bad boy just wanting to not be let down **sigh**.
Star Struck alternated between Star and Beckett's POV and it was done almost scene for scene, so we understood what was happening in both their heads at all times.
Star was infatuated with Beckett from the first time she heard his voice. He didn't carry the usual look of the guys that she went for, but now she compared everyone to him and no one could measure up in her thoughts.
Beckett knew he had to stay away from Star because she was the kind of girl that could prevent him from his dream. This becomes hard when she now is part of his band.
"Star, I've never understood how my dad could choose a woman over his lifelong dream. But then I met you, and I could tell that you were the kind of girl a guy would give everything up for. "
These two had a great connection on and off the stage, the dialogue between these two had me laughing at times as it matched right along with my easy sense of humour.
"See the star closest to the moon? The brightest one in the sky? That's Sirius."
"Okay, well then I will take it seriously."
"Not serious," I say with a slight giggle under my words. "Sirius is what the star is called.``
Beckett had held people at a distance for so long, he wasn`t sure what would come from opening up all his scars to Star. He was worried she would leave him and he knew he wouldn`t be able to take that kind of heart ache again.
``I know I did the right thing. I may not have been able to save the girl who meant everything to me once upon a time, but at least I can save this one. maybe this is some sort of redemption.``
I couldn't put this book down and since I happened to suffer from insomnia last night, this book came up across my sights at the perfect time.
Great job again Amber Garza...I think you have a fan now...don't quote me on this. **wink wink**
Throughout Star Struck, we had the pleasure of getting some sneak peaks into Lola and Rykers relationship which happens to be what book 2 is about.
SO...
Now onto my next Blog about my next book in the series, Love Struck.

Tuesday, October 8th-Started
Amber Garza you have me hooked on your books so I hope that you don't let me down.
This book is part of a series ( I believe 3 parts, but please don't quote me) about the band Beckett.
Star see's Beckett and it's love at first sight.
Beckett see's Star and knows he's in trouble if he doesn't stay away.
I am hoping this book lives up to the expectations that I have for a) Garza's writing and b) sexy rock guys.
WOOOOOO!!!!

Tripping Me Up By Amber Garza Part 2
Monday, October 8th-Finished
Tripp…Tripp…Tripp **sigh** **swoon** **sigh**
“That’s because those girls weren’t you, Hadley. I didn’t care about them the way I care about you. God, I feel like you are the girl I’ve been waiting to meet my entire life.”
This story represented so many real life possibilities for a high school student.
1. Verbal Bullying at school (by former friends)
2. Abusive home life (by father, someone who should love you unconditionally)
3. High school popularity standards dictating relationships (popular vs ‘nerd’)
With Tripp being the Popular Football Star and Hadley being the invisible ‘nerd’ girl, they have an uphill battle to have something as simple as a friendship, never mind a relationship.
Tripp is embarrassed of his home life because of the abuse him and his mother endure at the hands of his father. He hates football, but like everything else he does what is expected of him, not what he truly wants to do. When it comes to friends or his father it is all the same, everything thing he says and does leaves him feeling guilty and more alone. All he wants is to have someone he can trust and is there for him can love him for him and not expect anything from him.
Hadley wants to stay invisible and not endure more humiliation at the hands of Sonya and her followers like she did in her freshmen year. There are things she would love to experience such as school dances, but always feels a little heart broken when no one asks her, no one even sees her. If it wasn’t for her best friend Paige, she wouldn’t be able to get past those heartbreaking moments.
“Oh, let them stare,” Paige says, her gaze scouring the room. “Eat your hearts out, losers!” –When Tripp sits down with Paige and Hadley at the lunch table in the cafeteria
Side Note: Loved Paige…everyone needs a Paige in their lives!
Tripp and Hadley become friends (with a little convincing from Tripp’s part) and start to spend time alone together at home doing the simple things, such as watch TV, have dinner with her family and walk his dog, Bruiser.
When Tripp and Hadley go public with their friendship, jealousy arises and Sonya once again exposes a secret of Hadley’s and humiliates her again in front of the whole school.
Tripp now needs to find a way to get Hadley to trust him again and to realize how he feels for her.
“Just the thought of losing her was enough to make me feel like I was drowning in the ocean.”
This story was beyond sweet and heartwarming, something I could read again whenever I needed a heart pick me up.
It is sad to say, but this story probably has more truth to it than imagination. Many high school students (former as well as current) could probably relate to this directly or indirectly.
When you are popular you are expected to date others that are popular, likewise this could be transferred into a colour, religion or culture issue (etc). You are not expected to step outside of the ‘norm’ and when you do you can possibly be harassed, shunned or made to cast doubt on what you could potentially have with said person. So sad, yet so true.
What I liked about Tripp was that he knew when he made a mistake and for once he knew he had to work hard to prove to Hadley that he could be what she needs and so much more. He knew he had to keep her in his life and finally fight for what he wanted.
“She’s my whole world. Without her I have absolutely nothing. He’s taken everything else. This time I’ve got to find a way to fight back, to hold my ground. “
For me the moral of the story was: Don’t let anyone dictate who you love, popularity won’t last forever, but love can.
**Sigh**

Tripping Me Up By Amber Garza Part 1
Monday, October 7th-Started
Hadley feels like she is invisible in her Highschool, until one day she gets hit in the face with paper by Tripp a.k.a Mr Popular.
He never talked to her before, now he talks to her all the time, but he is popular and she is not, how could he be interested in her?
I love these stories, Mr. Popular meets Ms. Unpopular and he falls in love with her because she see's the real him.
Well at least I hope that is how this is how this is going to go. I feel like I need a sweet read that will leave me going 'awww so cute', so this is what I am hoping for.
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Hell Without You By Ranae Rose Part 2
Sunday, October 6th-Finished
"Time changes everything, except what's meant to be" was the quote of the book and this definitely sums up the book.
Seven years had gone by since Clementine had been home to Willow Heights, but all it took was for her to see Donovan standing outside his truck in the rain in front of her grandmother’s house for every feeling to come back again.
Her plan was to come back to Willow Heights temporarily, until she could land a job in D.C. Clearly fate was against her because she finds herself staying with Donovan in her grandmother’s house (which he now owns) until her townhouse has been repaired from water damage. They find themselves in situations that have them walking down memory lane and back into each other’s life.
Donovan wasn’t the same after he came back from war, but the one thing that never changed, was his love for Clementine.
"My soul has been trapped outside of my body for the past ten years."
"Really?" She gripped her coffee mug, letting the ceramic warm her fingers. "Where is it?"
"Sitting right across from me." His voice went a little deeper, got a little rougher. "Don't pretend you didn't know that."
Donovan didn’t know the reason Clementine left Willow Heights, but when Clementine reveals the truth behind her departure, they both realize this is their chance to have a second chance with each other.
I found this story good with respect to the unconditional love these two shared. There were some parts of the book I would have loved to see more detail with, i.e. Were they in any relationships in the past seven years or did they both wait for each other?
I did like the twists in the book that added a little more to their story line, they kept me on my toes and acting like a Detective along with Clementine. I would have also loved to see more Ricardo especially when Donovan needed his help in Willow Heights.
Overall I would give this book a 3.5, great love story, but would have wanted more to what was already there.
I have read Ranae Rose’s Battered Not Broken books and I loved them both because of the different POV’s, maybe that is the plan for this, because I would love to know what was going on in his head throughout the different points in the book.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Hell Without You By Ranae Rose Part 1
Saturday, October 5th-Started
It's been seven years since Clementine went back to her hometown, she was not sure what to expect, but seeing Donovan again, outside her dead Grandmother's house was definitely not something she could have ever imagined happening.
Circumstances leaving her thrown into the daily mix of Donovan's life. They share a past, but so many things have happened in that seven years, she isn't a teenager anymore, she is free to make her own choices.
Even though Clementine left for a reason, the question still remains, can Donovan ever forgive her?
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Simple Perfection (Rosemary Beach #5) By Abbi Glines Part 2
Saturday, October 5th-Finished
Okay, so throughout this book, we are given 3 curve balls. Yes I can tell two of them were in preparation for another book but come on Abbi Glines, did you need to make me cry TWICE during this book? Lezbehonest.
So...
Wood's was trying to keep Della at home, where he knew she would be safe and his mother and Angelina wouldn't be able to get her to bother her. But Della wanted to work and help ease the stress that was currently on Woods' shoulders.
When Della starts working at the country club, all seems to be going well until she overhears and misunderstands a conversation between Jase and Woods.
Della calls Tripp to come and get her so she can allow Woods to find someone who deserves him. She felt that she couldn't be what Wood's needed and didn't want him to feel obligated to her because she might go 'crazy' any minute.
The journey she was on with Tripp led her on the path to rediscovering herself and she found more than she was expecting. Little did she know, that Tripp and her best friend were rooting for her to go back to Wood's the whole time.
Wood's needed Della in his life to breathe, but Della needed to be the one to come back to him.
"I let this happen. I let myself fall so helplessly in love with him. I let myself believe he could fix me. That we could fix me. But it isn't happening."
"In all her twisted perfection she had made me fall helplesst in love with her."
"I want you to be happy with yourself. Because you make my life amazing."
As always I love Abbi Gline's writing and this book lived up to all the expectations I had and gave me some things I didn't even want to read or could think would happen.
In Simple Perfection, I got to see a bit of what to expect in Grant's book (#Grant+Harlow) and in Tripps as well.
Hopefully I am not as shocked in the books to come.
Until my my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Simple Perfection (Rosemary Beach #5) By Abbi Glines Part 1
Friday, October 4th-Started
This is the continuation of Della and Wood's story, so if you have not read Twisted Perfection, stop reading right now, go buy the book and then come back to my Blog (TUVM). Well actually go read all of the Rosemary Beach series books and while your at it the Sea Breeze series, than come back, because you will have an appreciation for this book/Abbi Glines.
Wood's had his life all planned out for him and when he finally took a stand for himself and the woman he loved he gets a call saying that his dad has just died. Not only that, but the Country Club he was told that he had to earn a spot in, was in fact his and would have been his once he turned 25.
Wood's now has to deal with the loss of his father, learning to run the country club on his own, but with Della by his side he feels that he can concur it all.
Slight problem, Della wants to be there for Wood's in every way she can, but she feels so helpless and she is realizing that she can't run away from her past.
Can she overcome her past without losing Woods?
We shall see!
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

The Ladies Book Club Post-Don't Let Go (The Invisibles #1) By Michelle Lynn
The Ladies read Don't Let Go By Michelle Lynn for our September Book.
Synopsis:
Sadie moves to Western College to get away from her former life and start over again. She didn't wake up in random guys bed and be called names and talked about because of the tragedy that was her life.
Brady was the rock star of Western College, but has a secret he is holding and is hoping it stays that way.
Brady sees Sadie walking across the lawn and he knows it is her that he wants to make his. he finds his chance when she comes to his concert, but she leaves before he has a chance to see her.
Finally circumstances line up and they start a relationship. They fall for each other quickly, but they both hold secrets about their pasts that are going to come to the surface sooner rather later.
Book Club Questions and Response:
How we felt about the Sadie and Brady's relationship, on a whole:
Their relationship, compared to real life felt unrealistic and progressed quickly. Their characters could have been created more in depth to feel that their relationship was more believeable. Yes they were both damaged, but Brady was quick to say that he was in love, yet he couldn't expose who his father was?
How we felt about the reason behind Sadie being a (lack of a better word) 'slut'?
This is kind of awkward because it's hard to relate to this. It was both thought about the fact that it may be a little to the extreme, but without going through that there is no way to be sure that this is realistic or not.
How did you feel about Kara?
This girl should have been put into her place. She was all up in Brady's business and the scene where she came to the hospital and was trying to be there for him, but Sadie was told to go home didn't make sense. When Sadie decided to come back to the hospital to prove to Brady she would not leave him, she found Kara lying on Brady's shoulder and he wasn't even moving her off.
How we felt about Grant?
Grant was really built up in this story, it was felt that we found out a lot about Grant, but it makes sense because of the next book we will be better prepared.
How we felt about Jessa?
Her character was the most believable and relatable. She had a lot of spunk and it seemed that she knew what she wanted and overcame enough to be comfortable with who she is.
Overall:
This book would be rated a 3.25 out of 5 because we are hoping for more in book 2 and are thinking this book was just a lead up to bigger and better things to come. This book was good, as there were some points in the book that were interesting and kept us intrigued, but other parts just seemed too far fetched.
We are excited about our next book for October which is going to be Destined to Play by Indigo Bloome, this book is part of a trilogy, so we will actually be trying to read all 3 by the end of November (Destined to Feel #2, Destined to Fly #3) **wish us luck**

The Temptation of Lila and Ethan (The Secret #3) By Jessica Sorensen Part 2
Thursday, October 3rd-Finished
After reading the first two books, Lila and Ethan’s story was inevitable and one that I personally was looking forward to.
Looking at Lila and Ethan you would think they come from two different worlds; Lila-the princess with the money, clothes and lifestyleEthan-bad boy, tattoos, poor. When in reality, they are almost the exact same.
Lila was sent to boarding school at 14, with the expectation of becoming something her dad and mom could finally be proud of. That didn’t happen. After Lila misread the intentions of a boy, her life started on the spiraling path south. It was at this time that her mother gave her pills to numb her pain. Ever since that moment Lila used the pills and sleeping around with guys to keep herself numb.
Ethan grew up seeing his dad beat his mother and verbally abuse her time and time again. He set rules that would ensure he never got into a relationship, nor cared about another girl and put himself in a position where he could turn into his father. Then comes London, who is damaged even more than he is and he feels a connection with her and breaks his rules. After one fateful night, when he decides he can’t watch London do drugs anymore, London decides to jumps out a window after she gets high, hits her head and gets amnesia.
Ethan is left with the guilt of not being there for London and still wondering what could have been.
Lila and Ethan have a strange friendship. The boundaries between friends and something more are always tempted, but never crossed. Lila will call Ethan to have him pick her up the morning after so she doesn’t do the walk of shame and Ethan will tell her his stories about the girls he has been with.
All seems to work for the two of them except for one problem, Ethan feels more for her than just a friend and Lila is starting to want everything with Ethan.
Circumstances occur that leave the two in situations that are tempting the boundaries more than ever.
The question both of them have is, are they willing to risk their friendship for the unknown in the world of love? They both have the worst examples in their lives except for one, Ella and Micha, but they seem to be the exception.
I feel conflicted because I found this story really good, but also really long even though it was about 240 pages.
Their story was necessary and explained a lot about these and leads into the 4th book, the Ever After of Ella and Micha. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed what I was reading and was rooting for Lila and Ethan the whole time. I just got confused with some timelines and felt that it took forever for the something to happen between Lila and Ethan. I thought the tension between those two was going to drive me insane.
Even though I feel conflicted, it still doesn’t take away from the fact that I still have this book on my favourites list and will be reading the next book as soon as it comes out.
Jessica Sorensen is an amazing writer and I am always excited for her next book.

The Temptation of Lila and Ethan (The Secret Series #3) By Jessica Sorensen Part 1
Wednesday, October 2nd-Started
MUST READ THE SECRET OF ELLA AND MICHA AND THE FOREVER OF ELLA AND MICHA FIRST!!!!!!!!!
I received this as an ARC and I am SOOO Excited for this. I have been waiting (somewhat patiently) for this book to come out and when I got the email this morning, I was on the verge of running out of work just to come home and read it.
We first meet Lila (Ella's Best friend) and Ethan (Micha's Best friend) in Book 1 The Secret of Ella and Micha. Fromt he get go, you can tell there is something that is going to happen.
Lila looks and acts like a Princess to everybody, but really she is broken, damaged and keeping secrets all while trying to keep up her image.
Ethan has the bad boy exterior and has kept Lila in the friend category from the beginning.
Over situations they become close and realize that there is something there more than friendship, but becoming attached can lead to heartbreak and that is something they both can't handle.
Until my next Blog when I have completed the book.

Unattainable (Undeniable #3) By Madeline Sheehan Part 2
Tuesday, October 1st-Finished
Unattainable was much more than I expected. I am almost at the point in being speechless.
Almost!
As I said in Part 1 this book was supposed to be Cage and Tegan’s story, but we were thrown a curveball early and it turned into another 4 person story. (read the other 2 books to understand fully what I mean).
We were re-introduced to Ellie (Danny’s friend) and Dirty/Michael (Horseman Brother). Ellie was saved from almost dying from Dirty and Ellie found her safe place with him. Problem with that is that Dirty could not be near her without thinking wrong things; wrong things that were placed in his head from when he was a child. Ellie and Dirty’s “relationship” left the club members mind boggled since Dirty never let a woman near him that was conscious except for Danny.
I found there story touching and in a way aww-inspiring (in a weird corrupt sort of way) knowing what happed to Dirty and how he changed into Michael for Ellie. Their relationship was beyond conventional, but what more could I expect, he is in a motorcycle gang and none of the ‘gangs’ relationships are normal.
This was a curveball I was happy to have read about.
Back to Cage and Tegan.
Man Oh Man Oh Man…
These two were something else, she was left heartbroken after she confessed her love to Cage the morning after he took his virginity and he said ‘it ain’t like that for me babe’. From that moment her life changed, tattoos covered her body, piercings were everywhere, dreadlocks were in here hair, attitude was stepped up 10 notches and she didn’t have a care in the world.
Tegan tried her hardest to stay away from Miles City but when she had to go back to hand off her brother to his father Hawk (read book two to understand) she thought she could come away unscathed. Little did she know that would be another changing point.
Cage knew he never cared for any woman, ‘club whore’ etc except for his TeaCup. When he had another chance to have her become his, he tried to hold on tight and not let go. Life (obviously) never works out as planned, so their relationship becomes an emotional rollercoaster, with misunderstandings at every turn.
Tragedy strikes the Horseman 3 times and all the truths come out, from love, to friendship, to realizing what the word family actually means.
“What I would stress the very most-is that love doesn’t solve a goddamn thing. Love doesn’t erase a broken heart, and it sure as fuck doesn’t change people.”
“From chaos, the strongest sort of love is usually born.”
“This shit between us ain’t ever going to be perfect…..People ain’t fuckin’ perfect, meanin’ love ain’t perfect.”
This book should have a “reader discretion is advised” at the beginning of the book, because at some parts I was like “Oh Snap” “WTF” “That did not just happen”, it is THAT intense on all counts.
Not sure what it is about this series, but I cannot wait until Book 4 Unbeloved which is HawkDorothyJase’s Story (read book 2 and 3 to understand the triangle). I also will not question my love for these books, sometimes love cannot be defined with words (#reallife)

Unattainable (Undeniable #3) By Madeline Sheehan Part 1
Monday, September 30th-Started
I started this series in February, I have been waiting for the next book in the series each time and once I see it has been published I get it right away.
Book 1 was Deuce and Eva's Story
Book 2 was Ripper and Danny's Story
Now this is Book #3 and it is Cage and Tegan a.k.a TeaCup's story.
This series is an intense Biker "Romance", please note the quotations as I do use that term loosely.
The book gives what could be a glimpse (well what is the assumptions, well it could be the truth but you never know) into the Motorcycle Clubs Dark and Dangerous World.
The first two books are intense in every form and at some points I was like 'cover my eyes and hold up, I did not just read that'.
BUT
I still am addicted to this series and wish that Madeline writes quicker.
Sooo any who, back to the topic at hand, as Isaid wrote before, this story is about Cage and Tegan. They have had an up and down relationship, which has assisted in shaping Tegan into the woman she is today. This is not such a good thing as having been in love with Cage since she was a little girl then losing her virginity to him then being hit with the reality that he doesn't love her back all resulted in her becoming who she is.
I know their story will be a roller coaster and I for one can not wait to sit back with my KOBO and enjoy the ride.
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Finders Keepers (Lost & Found #3) By Nicole Williams Part 2
Friday, September 27th-Finished
" I drew her close and looked her in the eyes 'Finders Keepers"
Garth grew up as the trailer trash of the town. Always believing he never deserved anything other than a bottle of whisky and a woman under him.
At five years old he fell in love with Josie on a school bus as she wiped his nose of blood (which he got from his dad smacking him). From that momen on Josie consumed his thoughts.
Now at 21, no place to live and hardly any money (thank you whisky and woman) he is about to learn all over again why he loves Josie.
"How could I love her the way she deserved to be loved when my partents hadn't shown me an ounce of it."
Josie finds Garth one night in the middle of winter inside of his truck, on his way to hypothermia. She all but drags him back to her house to sleep for the night.
Two years back, something happened between Josie and Garth that stopped their friendships dead in their tracks and had everybody in re-thinking mode about their relationships with eachother.
"Biggest of my life. I lost two of my best friends in exchange for the asshole with his nostrils packed with tissue in front of me now."
Wih Garth moving into Josie's house, past feelings and emotions start to surface and neither of them expect what life puts in front of them.
"If a person could only choose one momory to take with them into their next life, that would be the one I'd take."
"You only get one fo around, so make some mistakes, love who you want to love and forget the rest."
Garth's story had everything, a sexy cowboy, unconditional love, heart ache, unbreakable friendships.
What more could a reader ask for. :)
Great story, loved every bit of it.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen another book.

Finders Keepers (Lost & Found #3) By Nicole Williams
Wednesday, September 25th-Started
We were originally introduced to Garth Black in the first book of the series Lost and Found as Jesse Walkers former best friend.
Garth has a reputation for not caring for anyone but himself and he made the promise to himself that he would run away from love if it ever came his way.
As luck would have it, love found it's way to him, now he has to decide what to do.
Until my next Blog when I have finished this book.

If Forever Comes (Take This Regret #2) By A.L Jackson Part 2
Tuesday, September 24th-Finished
Elizabeth didn't know how to get up out of bed everyday after her heart was ripped out. She couldn't find herself out of the darkness to do the little things with Lizzie everyday or to even breathe easily. But she wanted to.
Christian was lost, he didn't know how to get his family back together, he didn't know how to get his life back to what it was. He loved Elizabeth with everything he had and all he wanted was to hold her in his arms
This book was written again from Elizabeth and Christian's POV, present and with flashbacks to their recent past. We got to thoroughly understand what happened to them to cause their family to break apart.
If Forever Comes was the conclusion to Elizabeth and Christians story and had me captivated from the first chapter. I felt gutted while reading this book, at one point I had to put the book down so I could have a good 'sob fest'. I felt for Christian and Elizabeth every step of the way. I felt the depression Elizabeth felt and how hard it was to just wake up every morning and the hopelessness Christian felt when he felt he had no other option but to wait for Elizabeth to see him for him again.
This series is on my list and comes highly recommended BUT must be read as the series in proper sequence otherwise there is no point.
Each book left me speechless and shocked in some way or another. GREAT JOB with the writing and the story line.
"he was everything, beauty and light, my rock, the other piece of my soul."
"Nothing could make me stop needing you. You are my start and you are my finish, the one who's going to be there for everything in between."
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

If Forever Comes (Take This Regreat #2) By A.L Jackson Part 1
Sunday, September 22nd-Started
Finally the final installment in the Take This Regret Series is here **Oprah's excited voice**
Christian finally has it all, a ring on Elizabeth's finger and his daughter by his side.
Elizabeth never thought her family would be whole.
But life can't be this easy, Christian and Elizabeth find themselves fighting to hold onto their family.
Side Note: So excited, I have waited over a month for this book to come out and now I have it on my KOBO. BUT life is never that fair because I have to go to sleep soon because I need to be up at 5:30 for work. SOOOOO not impressed with the lack of time this evening. But this may or may not be my fault since I had the urge to read Crossing the Line instead of If Forever Comes first. Meh, things happen, at least I will get a few chapters in tonight.
**BBM Dance Emoticon**

Crossing the Line (Pushing the Limits #1.5) By Katie McGarry Part 2
Sunday, September 22nd-Finished
I wish this story was a full novel because I could do with a lot more of Lincoln and Lila.
I loved these two.
Lila and Lincoln have been writing for two years since they met at Aires (Echo's Brothers) Funeral. Aires and Josh (Lincoln's brother) were in the military together and died in the same blast.
They started writing letters back and forther (not texts, not emails, letters) and somewhere a long the line they fell for eachother.
But Lila founds out that Lincoln lied to her over a very important aspect in their friendship.
Lincoln, used to care, but over the past year, he started giving up on everything except his feelings for Lila.
"The one relationship I need, the one relationship I depond on...I've jacked it up."-Lincoln
"Two years of letters, two years of redefining myself and two years of falling for my best friend"-Lila
Beautiful story of how friendship can come from the most unexpecting moments in life and how friendship can grow into something more than you ever expected.
Love this series and can't wait for Isaiah's story coming this November.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Rules of Entanglement (Fighting for Love #2) By Gina L Maxwell Part 2
Sunday, September 22nd-Finished
Vanessa MacGregor's Lucky 7 Rules
7. Never take responsibilities lightly.
6. Never indulge in the poison of lies.
5. Never let a fling last more than three days.
4. Never date a man who chooses fists over words.
3. Never date a man who lacks a stable future.
2. Never relinquish control.
1. Never fall in love.
Vanessa learns quickly that Jax could easily break all her rules if she allowed him to. So she thought she would take control of the situation at hand and enjoy a three day fling with Jax. Three days only of no-strings attached fun in Hawaii.
Jax wanted to break all of Vanessa 'Rules' and show her that he is what she wanted. He wasn't sure what it was about this 'Red Viper' but he knew he had never been this intrigued in a woman ever.
They confide in each other things that they never told anyone before and the feelings between them are more than just a fling.
Jax wants to have more than the three days and Vanessa starts to feel the same until life takes a left turn and trouble comes back to Vanessa and all the things she tried to get away from when she was longer seem to be in her face.
He may have started their 'situation' with a lie, but he had to show 'V' his feelings and actions were 100% truthful.
I may have cried from laughing so hard at the dialogue between Jax and Vanessa (okay, okay I did).
So many good lines, I found my self saying 'classic', 'damn straight' or 'awwww' more than once:
"Did Hawaiians have the saying "Save a surfboard, ride a surfer?""
"She mentally marked it as a win in her column. Shabba." (side note, Shabba has been my favourite line this week and when I read it in this book, I knew I had to reference it)
" I'd rather fight and lose than never step inside the cage"
"When I'm with a woman the sex is so good my neighbors need a cigarette."
"Wahine, I don't strut. I simply walk in a manly way."
Great book, I loved these two and to read about Reid and Lucie again.
I loved this story, it was exactly what I needed to read to get my spirits back up after all the heart-aching stories I have read lately. Awesome Job Gina!!!!!

Rules of Entanglement (Fighting For Love #2) By Gina L Maxwell Part 1
Saturday, September 21st-Started
I read part 1 in this series about 6 months ago and since I am in dire need of a pick me up after all of the hear-wrenching, tissue box emptying books I have read over this past week (again don't judge my reading habits).
So I have decided this book will be the pick me up I need before I dive into my intense stories.
Vanessa has 7 rules to help her get the future she wants.
Jackson finds himself pretending to be engaged to Vanessa (who happens to be his little sisters best friend).
They are sharing a romantic bungalow throughout his little sisters wedding in Hawaii and now 'Jax' has 7 days to turn her 7 rules upside down.
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Breaking Nova (Nova #1) By Jessica Sorensen Part 2
Friday, September 20th-Finished
This book had me feeling heart-wrenched and emotionally drained. Jessica Sorensen did not disappoint on the front of her 'twisted' love stories. I felt everything that was going on with Nova and Quinton, their heartache, their pain, their guilt, all of it.
Nova didn't know how to get past Landon's death, past the memories of the night she found him. She didn't know who she was without him by her side. She thought her OCD tendencies were normal, until Quinton came into her life. He made her forget about the counting and the routines.
Quinton believed he didn't deserve happiness or a second chance at love. He couldn't break his promise to Lexi, he couldn't be happy with Nova, with himself when he should have (and did) die that fateful night.
Against all judgement, Quinton and Nova started something beyond special, but the questions remained, was Nova strong enough to get over Landon's choice to leave her and was Quinton able to come to terms with the accident??
Quoted Passages:
"the once good guy ho wanted to be an artist and start a family died in the accident and was never revived. Now there's just a loser, stoner, drifter Quinton."
"I love you Nova...I always will...no matter what."
"Maybe what's on the outside isn't necessarily what's on the inside."
"I used to care about stuff all the time, then I lost the thing I cared about the most, and it seemed like everything left meant nothing or was insignificant."
Can't believe I have to wait until 2014 for Book #2 and #3..UGH..but I guess that means I have to re-read it..Okay twist my arm.
Until my next blog when I have chosen a book, that doesn't hurt my heart. Next book will be a pick me up, I feel like I need something that makes me laugh, not cry. Wish me Luck

Breaking Nova (Nova #1) By Jessica Sorensen Part 1
Friday, September 20th-Started
Nova had her first love's life was taken away from her and she is trying to come to terms with why.
Quinton feels like he is the one that took his first love away. Now he has to try to get by day by day with the guilt that he has a reminder of of his arm.
When Nova looks Quinton in his eye's for the first time, she see's the pain and that he is broken just like herself.
When Quinton see's Nova he smiles for the first time in over a year and he doesn't know if he deserves to smile.
I am expecting to feel the heartache as I am reading this book (Why, oh why, do I do this to myself...**sigh**)

Sweet Surrendering (Surrendering Saga Book 1) By Chelsea Cameron Part 2
Thursday, September 19th-Finished
What starts out as a one night stand turns into more than they both could ever had expected.
Rory meets Lucas when he shows up at her office looking to interview for her assistant position.
The interview does not go the professional way she intended it go and when it is over she has decided she will not be hiring Lucas.
When she is out for girls night, who just happens to be at the bar and performing for open mic night, that is right Lucas.
After a few drinks, they are in the cab on their way to his house, for a one-night stand to end all one-night stands (at this point you start the fanning of yourself).
After being persuaded by her company's board members, she hires Lucas. She is determined to be the professional that she knows she is.
Clearly things don't always go her way when she has the sexy Mr. Blaine sitting right outside her office staring at her day in day out.
These two need to work out how they will work together and get through this intense (INTENSE) attraction and connection they have with each other.
But not everything is as black and white as it seems, secrets are kept and worries are had, but why?????
While reading this, I felt like this could be a true story, as if 'it could happen' in my life or a friends life. The way Lucas and Rory had to hide their feelings at work, the night outs Rory had with her girlfriends, the dialogue between Rory and her girlfriends and Rory and Lucas was beyond realistic. Some lines used in this book, I use on the regular when speaking to my girlfriends and boyfriend, so that just made me love this book even more.
If you are looking for a steamy-office romance-fan yourself off kind of book, then this will be the book you need to read. I was all over the map with my emotions (minus the crying-well crying from laughter).
Quotes:
"I mean, unless you don't like s'mores in which case, there's the door."
"The God of Love? We talking the Greek or the Roman one?"The American one. Alcohol."
"He wasn't making this easy. Well, I could make it hard. That's what she said."
"I'm cool with cuddling, I'm going to cuddle you so hard."
"I'm psychotic," I said with a serious face. "I think you mean psychic, Sunshine."
Great job Chelsea, can't wait for Book 2.
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.

Falling Into Us (Falling #2) By Jasinda Wilder Part 2
Tuesday, September 17th-Finished
Becca and Jason realized they had something special early in their relationship.
They both were over achievers, one in academics the other in football, both trying to please their parents.
The first tragedy of their lives hit when Kyle was killed.
They had to learn to cope and lean on eachother to move past the tragedy.
One thing after another happened to Becca and Jason, but through the love they had for eachother, no obstacle, good or bad could stand in their way.
This story was more heart wrenching than Falling Into You. In this story we see what happened to Nell throughout those two years. We see the heart ache that all of them faced. We also see more of Colt and Nell and see in more detail some of their low and high moments they shared.
Becca and Jason faced so much more than what I could have ever imagined. I couldn't believe how much they had to face and I felt for them every step of the way.
I needed a kleenex box throughout the whole book just in case because I never knew if I was going to laugh or cry.
This story touched on so many important different important topics: Bipolarism, Domestic Abuse, importance of grieving and so much more.
Quotes:
"Damn baby, these are tight. How the hell did you get into them?" "Generous use of Crisco and a long running start,"
"Can't promise you forever, because that's not long enough."
"You can't ignore it. Pain, gried, anger, misery...they don't go away-they just increase and compound and get worse. You have to live through them, acknowledge them. You have to give your pain it's due."
Jasinda, you nailed this series.

Falling Into You (Falling #1) By Jasinda Wilder Part 2
Sunday, September 15th-Finished
Kyle and Nell were best friends since birth, everything one could experience as a child, they experienced together. When they were 16, they turned from best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend. Everything was perfect, until that one fateful night in August. After Kyle died, Nell didn't know how to breathe without Kyle.
Nell and Colton find themselves in New York together and Colton wants nothing more than to help Nell finally grieve over her loss.
Together they help each other.
This story was beautiful; I didn't know how I was going to like it because I knew Kyle's death was coming. I was bracing myself, but nothing prepared me. I felt the pain that Nell felt to watch Kyle say "I love you" as his last words, I felt my heart wrench. When Colton and Nell talk to each other, you feel the passion they have for each other, but also feel the guilt they both carry.
This book does make you believe you can move on after you lose the one you love. Whether that person is a best friend, lover, family member, time may not heal all wounds, but time does make it easier to move on. While reading this book, I was thinking of people who I have lost in my life, some at young age, others not so young, some not even human (though they liked to act like they were). It's amazing how you do not realize that time has gone by.
I couldn't imagine, nor do I wish to experience what happened in this book. But my heart goes out to anybody that has lost their lover and has survived it and found happiness again.
Quotes:
"There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world. It would be a pity to ruin yours." She stops thrashing and laughs. "Did you just quote The Princess Bride at me?" "Maybe."
'Hot heart-blood leaked from my face. From my eyes and my nose and my mouth. Not tears, because those would never stop. This was just liquid heartbreak seeping from my pores."
"You can't hold it in forever," Colt said. "Yes I can." I had to. "You'll go crazy. It'll come out, one way or another." "Better crazy, than broke."
Until my next Blog when I have chosen another book.

Falling Into You (Falling #1) By Jasinda Wilder Part 1
Saturday, September 14th-Started
I am not sure I could summarize this book more than Goodreads.com already has, so I won't even try.
Goodreads.com:
I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way.
Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.
Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.
To be honest, I know this is book is going to get me emotional (and I have been over emotional for the past couple of days, so I have no idea why I am torturing myself) but the book has been on my KOBO forever and I the reviews have me intrigued.
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Wrong Kind of Love (Young Love #2) By Amanda Heath part 2
Saturday, September 14th-Finished
When I say (well write, but you get the idea) that I could not put this book down, I mean it. I did not fall asleep until after 2:30 this morning. This is when I clicked to the last page of the book, trust me when I saw (write) I am exhausted, but it is so worth it.
Throughout This Beautiful Thing (Young Love 1) we are given snippets of Jaden and Grace's 'relationship'.
Grace wanted, no needed, to start her life over and become someone that is the complete opposite of who she really is. Then she meets Caden and her plan almost get's ruined from the beginning.
When Caden met Grace met for the first time he felt this intense connection. Little did Caden know his twin Jaden has had his eye on Grace. The twins make a deal to not pursue Grace, but when Jaden breaks the 'twin code' things change. Now all is fair in the fight to win Grace.
With reading this book, all the questions I had while reading This Beautiful Thing were answered, just not in the way I had assumed.
I kept messaging my BBF with my predictions, but then had to turn around 2 minutes later and say never mind.
The only thing that disappointed me a bit was they ending, I felt it was a little rushed and I am still left wondering about certain somebody. But maybe that is one of her up and coming stories that she has yet to post a blurb about. Hmmmmmm one can hope
Quotes:
"There has to be something wrong with me. Jaden is damn near perfect and Caden....isn't"
"We weren't supposed to fall in love. I feel bipolar around Caden. I know you're feeling it too. One second I want to be with him and the next I don't."
"Sometimes people walk into your life for a little while and sometimes they stay for the long haul.'
Honourable Quote: "I just couldn't deal without my weed. I have a problem, don't judge." Amanda Heath well said. That is one of my favourite lines (as people can already tell). For that ending and that ending alone....kudos.
Should Be Noted: If I had to use one movie quote to assist in describing this book it would be: You can't help who you love Derek, you're not supposed to. -Save the Last Dance (courtesy of my baby sisters constant movie quoting conversations) Obviously you would substitute Derek for Grace, but ya, I know you are all with me on that.

Wrong Kind of Love (Young Love #2) By Amanda Heath Part 1
Friday, September 13th-Started
I read book #1 several months ago and was waiting for this book to come out.
My BBF (Book Best Friend) let me know that she was reading this book and so I knew I was going to have to get on the Young Love bandwagon.
This book is Grace's story of her love struggle between herself and the Harper twins.
Please read book #1 and all will make sense when you read this book and my blog. :)
Until my next Blog when I have completed this book.

Price of a Kiss By Linda Kage Part 2
Wednesday, September 11th-Finished
Being the town’s rumoured 'gigolo' wasn't what Mason wanted, but when it was the only way to help his mother and sister, what choice did he have, right?
Reese had to move across the country to get away from her psycho ex-boyfriend, legally changing her name in the process.
When Reese see's Mason, she knows she is done for, even knowing what he 'was' didn't change her thoughts about him.
Fate was on her side when she took a job to babysit a 12 year old girl name Sarah. Turns out she is Mason's little sister.
Reese knows Mason is more than his job and their sprouting friendship starts to become harder to maintain when they both become honest with their true feelings for each other.
Quotes:
``His dark, wavy hair called to me--Reese, Reese! Run your fingers through my wild, gorgeous, untamed mane. It did. For real."
"He set it back in front of me, looking deceived.”So...you eat chili cheese fries loaded with grease, calories, and carbs. Then get a diet cola? He gave an amused laugh. "You're such a girl."
'I just want to kiss those lips and hoard that sound all to myself."
I was surprised how well this book really represented the judgement that Mason and Sarah experienced. Yes he was a ‘gigolo’ but I still felt for the guy (My opinion anyways). The way they treated Sarah was despicable, kids really can be cruel. Parents if your kids are like that, change your parenting tactics and teach them right. Shameful.
Well Done LK!
Until my next Blog when I have chosen a book.
